The instructions for setting up the Active Water - Mineral System are to soak the A) White dome and B) 5 stage filter and C) 5 ¼ inch White mineral cartridge) in water for about 5 minutes, completely submerged. After submerging, run water through the B) 5 stage/ or multi colored unit for about 3 to 5 minutes to get all the loose carbon dust out. Then activate the C) 5 ¼ inch white mineral cartridge with about 2 tablespoons of lemon juice or citric acid in a bowl of water, cider vinegar works also. Let it sit for about 2 minutes shaking it back and forth in a twisting motion turning wrist counter clockwise and clockwise, back and forth and rinse thoroughly.
